Alumni Association of India’s Premium Institutions organized IIT IIM Open Quiz - 2018

The Alumni Association of India’s Premium Institutions, IITs & IIMs, organized its spectacular annual Open Quiz on Friday, 30thNovember 2018 at Cambridge English School, Mangaf. On this occasion, His Excellency, Mr. Jeeva Sagar, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, presided over as the chief guest of the event.Guests of Honour comprised Principals of various schools in Kuwait who graced the occasion.The quiz was conducted by the very renowned quizmaster Giri Balasubramanium from India, popularly known across the world as “Pickbrain”.



More than 100 teams from various schools and 30 open teams participated in this event. Two teams from FAIPS- DPS qualified in the semi-finals. Each team comprised of three students. Students who comprised the first team were Rohita Mahesh, Rishav Das and Jos Roy and the second team were Kurian Thomas, Adit Kashyap and Sharon Maria who secured the third position in the Finals.

The senior quizzers Aishwarya Shaji, Aaron Thomas and Sharath Menon, were the top among 100 teams, working wonders on the stage with their exhilarating performance and bagged the first position, leaving their opponents far behind. Having scored the highest in the preliminary round, they qualified directly for the Finals and won the IIT IIM Open Quiz trophy.



It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience. FAIPS -DPS encourages such positive competitions and hopes to bring out the best in all its students through such competitive events, while ensuring that the children learn through all possible ways- not just through books and classroom teaching.
