Blessen George Foundation International (BGFI),Kuwait, the torchbearer of Sports and the game of Volleyball, which pioneered the dawn of high standard Volleyball Tournaments in Kuwait, gave a warm and fitting Farewell to two of its well respected and most valuable DIRECTOR BOARD MEMBERS, RAJU ZACHARIAHS, and GEORGE P. EASOW and their families on the pleasant evening of Friday 7th of December 2018 with the accompaniment of sweet melodies, which embellished the ambience of the occasion and enlivened the spirit and mood of a friendly gathering of BGFI fraternity.

BGFI began the campaign of the revival of the game of Volleyball in Kuwait by holding high quality international Volleyball Tournaments in Kuwait in the name of "BLESSEN GEORGE MEMORIAL INTERNATIONAL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT" featuring top Club Teams from India and Kuwait with Players who represent Kuwait National Volleyball Team and Indian National and State Volleyball Teams. BGFI Volleyball Tournaments are patronized by Kuwait Volleyball Association (KVA)and its President and General Secretary play major role in the organization and conduct of the Tournament. BGFI Volleyball Tournaments have resulted in the resurgence of public's interest in the game and mushrooming of multiple Volleyball Tournaments in Kuwait and the name "BGFI" has now become a synonym for Volleyball among the Indian Diaspora as well as among the Volleyball lovers of the local public.

BGFI's Director Board Members, who occupy the higher echelons of the social and cultural organizations of Indian Diaspora in Kuwait and are known for their personal integrity and exceptional leadership qualities, are the force behind the success of all BGFI's Volleyball Tournaments, in which its departing Directors, Raju Zachariah and George Easow, played a significant role. In recognition and appreciation of their immense contribution and consistent efforts throughout their involvement as its Director Board Members and as an expression of the love and affection the rest of the Director Board Members have towards them, BGFI held a grand Farewell to Raju Zachariahs and George Easow and their families and honored them with "Mementos of Appreciation".

BGFI combines Sports and friendship as its central themes and is the only one of its kind in the social map of Kuwait, perhaps in the whole world, and apart from organizing Volleyball Tournaments and sports promotional activities, it holds recreational activities and social gatherings, which are celebrations of "Friendship and Goodwill". The Farewell function to honor and to bid goodbye to two of its most valuable Director Board Members in which families of all Members were present, was also held in the true spirit of “Friendship and Goodwill” and witnessed the remarkable good bonding and friendly vibes exist among its members and families.
