The statistics issued by the General Traffic Department said a total of 401 people – citizens and residents – died in traffic accidents during 2018, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to the statistics, the mortality rate due to collisions, overturning of vehicles and accidents of various types of vehicles decreased last year, compared to 2017, which killed 424 people.

The statistics showed the traffic accidents killed 429 people in 2016, which confirms the decline in the number of deaths due to intensive media campaigns, which highlighted the need to exercise caution while driving and abide by traffic rules to protect the life and property of people.
