Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait celebrated Christmas- New Year on Friday 28th December 2018 at Symphony hall, Riggae. Ex-MLA from Kozhikode district Mr. Sathyan Mokeri inaugurated the celebration. Association President Mr. Shyjith.K presided over the inaugural function. Acting General Secretary Mr. Jawed Bin Hameed, explained the association activities in detail. Father Mathew M Mathews delivered informative speech about Christmas and gave an enlightening Christmas message on the occasion.
Association Patrons Mr. Hameed Keloth, Mr. Bharathan.E.C, Mahilavedi Secretary Mrs. Indira Radhakrishnan, Al Mulla Exchange representative Mr. Basil delivered felicitation speeches. Association honored Miss Keerthana Pramod, former Balavedhi President, who is leaving Kuwait for higher education. In appreciation of the services rendered by her to the Kozhikode district association and as a mark of love and affection a memento was presented to her by association President.
Children of Association members who excelled in Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations were honored on the occasion with mementos. The Award instituted by the Association in the name of Late Moideenkoya, for the highest scorer in Higher Secondary Examination was bagged by Master Mohamed Mishal. Ranjith Pilakkat Memorial Award instituted to honor the highest scorer in Secondary School Examination was bagged by Miss. Devna.P.V, Master Faris.P, Miss. Fathima Noora and the awards were presented to the parents by the Mahilavedhi Treasurer Mrs. Haseena Rafeeq, Association Ex-President Mr. Rajagopalan.E, Ex-General Secretary Mr. Rishi Jacob and Ex-President Mr. Haneef.C. Association also honoured other students who scored high marks in Higher Secondary and Secondary school exam. Keerthana Pramod, Aseeba.K, Brengana.I.P, Jadeera.P, Fathima Maloofa, Anagha.S.N received memento from association office bearers.
Thereafter Balavedhi, Mahilavedhi and Association members presented various entertainment programmes like cinematic dance, Group dance, Group song, Skit…etc colored the celebration. Mr. Shamsudheen.T.K compared the event. Mr. Sibi Ullattil, Convener welcomed the gathering and Mr. Vineesh.P.V, Association Treasurer proposed vote of thanks. The association thanks all of the members who joined in the celebrations and made it a grand success.
