Tuesday, February 19, 2019

“Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together they make this world a beautiful garden”. These were the beautiful words spoken by the eminent chief guest Dr. Pratibha Mangalath Narayanan, Gynaecologist, IVF Specialist for the 16th WHIZKID award ceremony held on 12th February 2019.

The event was also graced by Dr. V. Binumon, Principal (ICSK, Senior) and Senior Administrator and Mr. Deepak Seth, HR & Admin Officer, ICSK. “WHIZKID – 2019” was a series of competitions for the pre-primary classes of ICSK Amman, an initiative to trigger the creative aspect of the child at their early learning stages. The much awaited event commenced with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by the National Anthems of both Kuwait and India and a few melodious songs by the junior choir of ICSK Amman.

Principal, ICSK Amman, Mr. Rajesh Nair extended a warm welcome to everyone and shared a few light moments about the tiny tots of ICSK Amman. Dr. V. Binumon in his insightful felicitation speech gave a strong message for all the parents requesting them to encourage the children to explore this adventurous world by asking questions. It was a pompous ceremony where the parents and whizkid winners received their trophies and achievement certificates with great pride. “Our aim is to bring out and exhibit the hidden talents of our children and to prove that no child is average but each child is unique and gods own creation”, said Mrs. Julie Anthony, Supervisor (pre-primary section) who presented the details of the Whizkid competitions.

The evening was a potpourri of colorful solo and group performances by the little children. The children left the audience spellbound with their audacity on stage while they presented the welcome speech and the vote of thanks with exceptional confidence. The event saw its closure by the vote of thanks by Dr. Mary Isaac who thanked everyone and specially mentioned that the success of all their events is purely due to the teamwork of all staff and support of the parents.
