A decision to impose a surcharge of KD 8 on air tickets from April 1, 2019 has been frozen.

According to report, Parliamentarian MP Riyadh Al-Adasani said that he had contacted the ministry of commerce and industry on the recent ministerial decision imposing the new airport and passenger service charge and said that the decision has been frozen.

Earlier, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation had informed all carriers departing from Kuwait to collect an extra KD 8 from the beginning of April to be paid to the DGCA.
