Free salary for non-working Kuwaiti women to avoid divorce

According to local media report published by Al-Rai Arabic newspaper and Arab times daily, Kuwait government is considering a new plan to give free salary for married Kuwaiti women who are not working. Arab Times daily reported that this move is to address the high divorce rate in Kuwait.

The proposal set a list of controls and conditions on the basis of which a married Kuwaiti woman will be eligible to this free salary without working.

According to report the woman will not be entitled to work in a private sector or establish a private company or institution to be eligible. She will not be allowed to employ a house driver but can employ only one maid to help her with work at home.

Experts said that this move is to strengthen family bond and to provide an appropriate environment for women to take care of their children and family affairs to ensure proper upbringing. With this the increasing divorce rate can be reduced.

I don''t understand how salary would affect the divorce rates. Isn''t it common sense that divorce takes place when there is a difference in opinion and its natural to have that. If Islam has allowed divorce, it means it is Haq. Paying a woman in order for divorce rates to drop is utter nonsense.

This is by far one of the most ****iest piece of news I have come across in recent months. But, it doesn’t surprise me at all , the government and the people are both dumb and dumber.
