Clouds can add a beautiful 3D perspective to a landscape or skyline photos.
• Try using a polarizing filter – depending on the amount of light and the position of the sun. Even on a cloudy day a polarizing filter will help to remove the haze from the sky. This filter will help to enhance the color of the sky and the clouds.
• Try using a Tripod – In general using a Tripod is always recommended. When the aperture is more open and the shutter speed is decreased to get in more light, there is every chance of getting a picture blurry. Tripod can help to avoid hand shake. If you have a VR or IS (Vibration Reduction or Image Stabilization respectively) on your lens, it is recommended to switch to off while using a Tripod.
• Try venturing out after a rain to capture the water droplets on the leaves and flowers. Use of Macro lens will be good to get more details in your photo.
• Try to capture sunrise and sunset on a cloudy day.
• Try post processing to Black n White or HDR (High Dynamic Range) image.
• Experiment and keep clicking, that’s the best mantra to learn photography
