Name correction in Indian Passport.

Hi everybody, please advise if anyone is familiar with below situation . My first name and family name are both together under given name in the passport . I have a renewal coming up and would like to split the family name from
Given name and put it under surname .
There is no change in name but spilt into surname and given name . If anyone had made such a change during renewal or is aware of the process kindly let me know . Thanks to everyone who can help .

The procedure is called name bifurcation and luckily for you it is a very easy process. You have to apply for a passport re-issue under normal category ,you can do this at BLS.

Continue with reissue application and just add your name is given name and surname categories. The BLS people will guide you. However make you do not have any residency renewal coming up or anything that requires your passport.

Better go to the BLS office and they will guide you. Generally, they always ask for 2 supporting documents. Even though you are not changing the name, it is just splitting the given name into Given Name and SurName, they might still ask you for your Birth Cert and Adhaar Card if they are showing the actual name.
Visit them and hope it gets fixed without any hassle (Like Newspaper Ads, etc).
