CHEATING DONE BY COUNTRY CLUB

I was recently cheated by Country Club Kuwait. Please spend 5 minutes for reading this mail. This 5 minutes could save your or your friends 1500 KD. I am sending this mail to save other Indian friends from getting cheated. I want to explain their modus of operandi here. So please circulate this mail to your Indian friends, colleagues’ relatives to save them from cheating. Daily 1-2 families are getting cheated and many cheated families hide this as they feel that this is insulting to them.
At first they distribute lucky draw coupons to families in Gulf Mart, Lulu, Geant, Carrefour etc or other locations in Kuwait.
In next 2-3 days they call the tell them that they are lucky draw winner and have won 6 nights and 7 days’ vacation free and ask them to come to their office with family to collect the gift voucher with a condition that they have to attend 1 hour presentation. Actually their gift voucher is bogus as we cannot book the vacation until we become their member and they charge Rupees 4000 as tax.
At office they make them to attend a 1 hour presentation which lasts for 4 hours. In the presentation they explain about lifetime membership of country club with many false promises and hide many facts. They also bring some fake families (4-5) around you and make fake announcement of various families accepting memberships to lure/ influence you in the presentation hall. When you say that you do not have money at this moment to buy membership then they offer installment option and even send a person with you to your home to collect whatever cash you have (even 50, 100 KD) or postdated cheques. Believe me they will use all sorts of COERCION / INTIMIDATION / BULLYING techniques so that you pay up. TRUST ME, when you are in that kind of situation (along with your family and kids), you will end paying up without even reading the documents.
They sell membership for around 1500 KD (depends on your negotiations) with 65 KD per year as Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) for yearly 6 Night 7 day vacations for 30 years and gym / fitness club lifetime memberships. They also say that this is offer price and is valid for today only which is not true. They insist on paying advance or full payment on the same day itself.
So If you go to them and ask for cancellation and refund for which they say that this amount of membership is Nonrefundable.
Please search for Country Club Complaints in google attending their presentation, you will find that they are lot of complaints against them and they are cheating people in India, UAE, Oman, Kuwait and other countries.
