Leave Salary Calculation

Hi All,
I would like to have genuine replies from our IIK readers on below.
Our company is calculating and providing to employees leave salary only till 31st Dec of every year. i.e if an employee is going for vacation on 05th May 2017 , company will give leave salary from 01/01/2016 to 31/12/2016 and the balance of leave will be carried forward to next year.
Is this way of calculation correct or the employee should get the payment till 04/05/2017?

Hi, I think it depends on the company. Most of the companies calculate leave salary based on earned leaves..my present company pays me 30 days salary (30 days annual leave I have) on completion of a year(the calculation starts from the day of joining in the company) whether you go on vacation or not .
