Car are not expensive here..and you can't judge people based on that...there are multiple options to own a car in Kuwait and the car market is huge in Kuwait. You get many brands and many models.

@ Indian. Even I noticed this trend. I have seen Indians driving Benz, BMW and Jaguar and other big cars. Off course it all depends on the income and liabilities. I am in Kuwait since 18 years and just able to drive basic car due to several liabilities and average salary. I feel new comers are commanding high 4 digit salary. But this no. is just countable, not en masse. I wish if I had good income I would have bought high end car.

I drive a series 7 BMW 2011 model. It's not a huge deal. Many of my friends think I'm rich, when in reality I purchased it second hand.
Got an incredible deal (about 4500 KD). BMW's have very low resale value, and are quite expensive to maintain.
I spend about 42KD/ month on maintenance. I pray everyday that nothing happens to it. God forbid anything does, I'll be broke faster than you can say broke.
Why do I drive one if it's so expensive to maintain?
Because it's a beauty of a car. It's super smooth and the ride is incredibly silent. Feels like an aeroplane.

You say you are not jealous, but your comments show otherwise.
Why should they go back? What if they are running a business here, do you want them to wind up and leave just because you can't bear the sight of them driving nice cars?
Languishing here ? Do you think someone who languishes here can afford such cars? It will take hard work, perseverance and luck to get to where they are.
Selfish? How do you judge them as selfish? It's just your mediocre perception that needs a huge change.

If you have seen an Indian driving a luxury car, he may not be very rich. Because the richest Indians do not drive themselves. They use drivers of other nationals. There are so many Indians in Kuwait getting very good income and paying 4 digit rent for villas and owning many luxury cars.Some rich Indians provide employment for others also such as M.A Yousuf Ali of LULU Mall is a billionaire, employs more than 40,000 people. Mr. Ravi Pillai of RP group employs 70,000 people. Mr. K.G Abraham of NBTC employs more than 15,000 people. Mr. T.S Kalyana raman of Kalyan Jewellers, Mr. Joy Varghese of Joy Alukkas, Mr, M.P. Ahmed of Malabar gold etc are good employers. (These are malayaly business people whom I know. I do not know much about hundreds of other Business people from other states of India.) Proud to be Indian.

2) Indians from some part of India driving luxury cars
living like cockroach in 1 apartment 3 families sharing rent KD 100
eating lentil soup and rice 3 times a day and weekends same with very small piece of fried chicken or fish no need soap or perfume. monthly expense KD 100
Luxury car installment KD 250
entertainment NOT AT ALL KD0
save KD 350 and build a bungalow in India and buy a luxury car there also
and work here all his life and die here and family in India grab his property and money and Luxury car.

What Indian said is correct. Many Indians, especially Gujratis in Kuwait are filthy rich. Companies like KOC, EQUATE etc are dominated by Gujratis. You can see them in mass at Abu Haleefa, Block 1. The money that they spent during Deewali is unimaginable. Mallus and Gujjus are extreme contrasts. Gujjus spent like anything, Mallus saves like anything without eating and living a decent life.
