Car Review - Hyundai Tuscon

posted by Hyundai Tuscon

Would anyone with a Hyundai Tuscon be able to tell me more about the car? its maintainance cost? how the car is in general? any issues you have faced? I am planning to buy a new one and would appreciate your input.

Looking for Hyundai owners feedback only.

Thanks

Dear.... im using a 2016 Hyundai Tuscon and as far as in my experience this crossover is a good one. It will have warranty either for 5 years or 100000 KMs. It looks fantastic and even in in base option you will get almost all facilities. You can google for reviews.

Scorpio will drive only a Pajero and to him it is the ultimate car, just ignore him. Tucson (pronounced too-sawn, if you are not aware) is a nice crossover.

A BIG NO to Korean cars. They are like toys, loaded with lot of fancy stuff. However when it comes to durabilty, it's a BIG failure.

My personal suggestion is to stay away from Korean cars, be it Hyundai or KIA. Go for any JAPANESE or AMERICAN car.

My previous car was a 2012 Tucson.
The ride was really stiff and uncomfortable. The materials used inside felt cheap.
There was a lot of play between the window and doors, as well as the autogear changer. I'm not sure if these problems were only for my vehicle, but I had purchased it almost new (12000Kms).
I used it for a year or so and then gave it up. Sold it at a very low price.
Purchased a bmw after that (second hand) and couldn't be happier.
The genesis is supposed to be super awesome. It's out of my budget though.

Before my Kuwaity owned a Land cruiser. I told him to change it and buy BMW. Now I am very happy to drive for him.

@carman : read what dynamic had to say and I don't drive a Jap or Korean car. Though I swear by jap cars , they are the best on durability and value.

by seeing all these discussions, what can be said. i don't know. First of all no car manufacturer make any bad car. They all make good car with almost same features. If you blame Hyundai, then what about Hyundai Cars in India. If you blame Suzuki then what about Suzuki cars in India. Don't Indians drive these cars.

If you compare between Kuwait and India all cars here in Kuwait should perform well. I mean road wise, pure petrol and etc.. So @Hyundai Tuscon, please go ahead with your choice. Its only your choice... Those who like Toyota go ahead...buy your choice. After all we live once. So buy what you like. As far as i know no new cars will make any problem till 5th year normally.

but some times it will not start in the morning, so i told my Kuwaity to change and buy Pajero or Prado. Overall, as a House Driver, my expereice with Tucson is excellent.

Dear Dynamic,

Based on what judgement are you saying American cars are good?
My last 2 cars were American, both failed me terribly and lasted a mere 5 years before i had to sell it off cos it was more expensive to repair it than sell off.

American cars have a life of 5-6 years. Personal experience, my first car lasted 5 years before it gave me major repair bills and then my second car in its 6th year needed a gear replacement and i had to sell it for scrap value. I have never visited a local garage other than to change the tires. All work on both the cars were done periodically at Alghanim Garage.

American cars are a big no no.
