Friends of CRY Club is a group of dedicated volunteers in Kuwait in service of the deprived children. Friends of CRY Club celebrates its 14th anniversary in Kuwait this year. It was started with the objective to serve the community.

Mission of CRY is- To enable people to take responsibility for the situation of the deprived child and also motivate them to confront the situation through collective action thereby giving the child and themselves an opportunity to realize their full potential.

This year Cry cricket was conducted on 30th March 2012 in which 22 teams took part. 10 teams in the Senior category and 12 teams in the Junior category.

A seven overs a side game was played simultaneously on the two playgrounds in the senior and junior divisions. The FOCC event was supported by the KOC Hockey Committee. It started at 6.30 am in the morning and ended with the prize distribution at 7:30 pm.The weather on that day was very pleasant and filled with excitement and joy. The Ahmadi sports grounds wore a festive look. Children and adults were dressed in sporting colorful dresses, displaying tremendous excitement and the spirit of friendship and the participants were seen all over the place getting geared up to participate in the annual cricket tournament .There were also several other game stalls and a food stall by Udayam restaurant which served delicious food. There was an essay competition and a drawing competition for the kids and a stall selling used books and toys at a reduced price. All the money which was collected was donated to CRY. There was also a raffle draw in which many lucky people won prizes. It was a memorable day as all the kids who had been a part of this event were all winners as every participating child was awarded with a medal as a token of appreciation for their hard work and their little contribution made to CRY. This event of CRY-Cricket is a noble way of playing cricket ,which clubs both the idea of charity and team spirit.
