GIS students interact with the world’s youngest CEO and Web Designer - Miss Sreelakshmi Suresh.

May 15th, 2013 will be a memorable day in the life of all the students of Gulf Indian School as they got a very rare opportunity to meet the world’s youngest CEO, Miss Sreelakshmi Suresh.

A Brief introduction about Miss Sreelakshmi Suresh.

World’s youngest Web Designer and youngest CEO at the tender age of eight years designed and developed the official website of her school, (www.presentationhss.com) Presentation Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, Kerala, India. She is the recipient of more than 40 National and International Awards, Honours for her excellence in web designing. The Association of American Webmasters honoured her by giving its membership along with their highest award for excellence in web designing, the Gold Web Award. She is the only Member of the Association of American Webmasters, under the age of 18. She started her own web designing company eDesign Technologies (www.edesign.co.in) when she was only 10 years old, and she is the CEO of the company, the youngest CEO of the World.

Our school Management had invited Miss Sreelakshmi Suresh to our school on Wednesday i.e. 15th May, 2013. She came to our school at around 11.00 a.m. accompanied by her parents and Mr. N.C. Mohandoss from Frontliners Kuwait. She was here on a short visit to Kuwait.

She was given a warm welcome by our dear principal Mrs. Shyamala Divakaran and was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers by one of our students and the welcome speech was given by Miss Ayisha Noha of class X. Miss Sreelakshmi shared her story of success with all the students of class IX, X, and XI. She started her speech by thanking our principal and the school management for giving her this opportunity to interact with the wonderful students of Gulf Indian School. She then spoke about her achievements and opined that in life nothing is difficult. It is our strong desire and hardwork which makes us a successful person. She told the students that if she could achieve success at this tender age, even her peers could do the same and it is only hardwork and proper guidance that has helped her reach these heights. She also gave the example of Sachin Tendulkar and said he was also successful only because of his hardwork, passion and dedication.

The children were thrilled, inspired and motivated by her encouraging words. The students also interacted well with her by asking her several interesting questions, which she answered in a very convincing way.

The one hour session which the students had with her was an eye opener to the students and gave them lot of knowledge about web designing. Our beloved principal showed the school’s appreciation by presenting a memento to Miss Sreelakshmi Suresh.

On behalf of my friends I would like to thank our school management, principal and computer teachers for this inspiring interactive session.
