Importance of early rising

Importance of early rising

The dark night ends, the sun smiles and spreads its saffron rays everywhere. The whole world wakes up. But how many of us bother to rise from our beds to relish the rising sun from the east? The pity is that we don’t thank nature for the bounties it has showered upon us.

When we sleep, many new cells are formed which charges our body, helping us in the long run. However when we get up late, the energy goes waste and the person becomes sluggish and somber, hence the whole day goes waste. Scientists believe that the first rays of the sun power up living cells and provide good amount of vitamin D which improves our bones and muscles.

Rising early in the morning has a lot of advantages to humans as it is said, “early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”. It fills our mind with purity. At this time one’s ears are not disturbed by the jarr of the surroundings. Rather we hear the pleasant sounds of the birds and feel the cool breeze. This is the time when there are few vehicles on the roads. So no pollution. Breathing fresh air fills our blood with pure oxygen and provides energy to our body. For doing yoga and exercise, early morning is the best time. Morning walk is a bliss for all. It is advised by doctors to most patients. Many diseases like high blood pressure, obesity, heart problems etc. can be cured by early rising.

As students, we can study and revise our lessons during early morning and we will never forget what we have learnt. In the morning there is peace; so concentration increases. The brain remains in the subconscious state in the morning. As a result, it can take in more information and retain it well. Morning bath is also equally important as it removes our sluggishness and gives us a fresh day.

In many countries early rising has been considered very important. The Americans gave their wards strict military training in the early morning during the world wars. The Japanese work hard day and night. The beauty of their busy schedule is that they practice an exercise, tai-chi in the early morning before they start their day. “Work like a bee”- the phrase itself tells us the importance of rising early. In short, the early riser is the one who sees the better side of life and is all satisfied.

Dear Adith.

Thank you very much for this nice article. I also appreciate your feelings and share my personal view. I honestly wake up feeling excited about the day ahead and getting up early makes it all the time more special as a love the solitude of me being the only person up at that time. This is the great time to start the chanting my Lords name alone and fullfill the natural morning breez near the sea side in Salmiya. Thanks and Love.
