Xpressions 2014- A wonderful experience.

The day 25th January, 2014 was a very memorable day for the students in Kuwait and for me too. The big interschool competition XPRESSIONS- 2014 was conducted by Indian English Academy School at their premises. It was a fun-filled day with lots of competitions conducted simultaneously in different corners of the school. The school had a festive atmosphere with children dressed in colourful attires and competing in different events. The programme began at 10 am. The theme for this year’s competition was HEALTHY LIVING.

I am glad I was a part of this great event. They had many events right from Fashion show to Quiz, painting to creativity, Ad mad show, Mimicry, singing, dancing , collage making, table cloth designing, wealth from waste, salad dressing ,fusion dances, cheer leaders ,music bands, pot painting etc. .To be more precise the school had not left any milestone untouched.

They had specialised and talented judges to judge every event and the best part was that the results would be announced within few minutes, which kept the school children on their toes to find out if their school had won.

This event showed a healthy competition between the students and gave a good platform for the kids from different schools to interact with each other and at the same time exhibit their talents. All kids were in colourful dresses and it was like a picnic for the kids and the best part of the event which impressed me was there were not much restrictions and hence we could enjoy ourselves.

The event mangers were all dressed in lovely t-shirts with’ Healthy living’ written on it. Every child who participated was given a participation certificate and the winners were awarded with glass trophies and certificates. The most fascinating fact was nobody was disappointed.

The environment which I saw there was like that of the youth festivals conducted back in India which I had only seen in television. Today it was brought live in Kuwait by IEAS Kuwait. Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really thank them for this gala event. It was their 3rd year, this year. They were just fantastic and hats off them, for coming out with this beautiful concept. We say children are born with different talents and each child is unique, but they have proved this by giving each child an opportunity to participate in an event according to his or her talent.

A huge number of students have got a chance to show their talent and creativity by this great event and no other association as ever come up these many varieties under one roof. I was totally impressed and would like to thank them for this great event and it will remain a memorable day for me and my friends as we too won many prizes.

The teachers from all different schools also played a vital role by supporting and motivating their students. I would also like to thank my school for giving me an opportunity to represent my school and helping me win a prize in this great event.

Xpressions-2014 was a grand success and I would like to thank the organisers for this great opportunity given to the students in Kuwait.
