Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it! Kuwait is also not different. This is our work place. All the expats owe a lot to this land as they all come and work and settle here peacefully. It is our duty to share our deep sense of affection and gratitude for Kuwait. And this is what the French expat Samah Oueslati has done through her coffee table book titled "Why did I choose Kuwait".

This book is not a city guide that marks out tourist hotspots. It is a coffee table book that captures the love of an expatriate for her adopted homeland.

Samah Oueslati is been living in Kuwait for the past 5 Years and wanted to share her experience living in this wonderful Country through the book. The amazing book “Why did I choose Kuwait..." was born after she has been asked this question so many times.

The book contains poems and facts written by her about Kuwait through the eyes of an expatriate. Her love for Kuwait is stamped on the pages of the book, which is a fitting tribute to Kuwait. The 128 pages book is completely illustrated by talented Kuwaiti photographers and Samah wrote the texts in English. The cover of the book contains the photo which bags the best photography award at KUNA Photography contest.

The poems talk about the old Kuwait, traditions and lifestyle in an emotional way and sometimes in a humorously way too but never negative or sad. The 58 pictures in this book taken by Kuwaiti photographers are stunning and take you deeply in the art of living over here. Going through the book is like reintroducing to Kuwait and Kuwaiti culture and loving every aspect of it. The positive feedback that she received while writing this book gave her the strength to complete it in less than a year. She self-published and printed it in Kuwait.

Born and raised in Paris, Samah graduated in Law from the University of Paris. Signed by Sony Music France at the age of sixteen as a song- writer, singer and music composer, she is a young woman of many talents. As a certified Life Coach and a Pranic Healer, Samah founded Dare2beHer Life coaching to help others achieve their goals. “As a Life coach I help people fulfill their dreams by unlocking doors in their lives and making them feel emotionally and physically better.” Samah told Indiansinkuwait.com. Spreading love and helping people see life from a different perspective is what keeps her going.

Apart from life coaching and Pranic healing, Samah is also an entrepreneur. She is the co founder of a concept store which revolves around custom made leather goods for watch, watch accessories, jewellery and unique gift items.

During the Kuwait’s national celebrations on February 2012, Samah had the opportunity to express herself on the National Kuwaiti private channel "Watan Tv" in their the morning show Sabah al Watan in order to share this unique experience of, living in Kuwait and some of the reasons why she choose this country. She also got a chance to launch this book at Sadu House during the celebrations.

The book “Why did I choose Kuwait..." is available in That Al Salasil bookstore located in Kuwait, The Avenues Mall, phase2 First Floor, Sadu House Museum in Kuwait City and Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah’s museums. The book value is KD 10 and 10% of the total sale of the books will be donated personally to a great charity in Kuwait called "Khair Al Kuwait" to support them in their activities.

The book is meant to be more like an artistic work and is really an expats eye on Kuwait. It is surely a great gift for whoever would like to know more and to remember about Kuwait.
