Earth is a wonderful place to be in!
Our earth is really such a wonderful place to be in. It is the home for millions of living things. It has so many wonderful monuments, topographical features to see and learn from. For eg-our very own Taj Mahal in India, "Christ the Redeemer' statue in Rio De Janeiro, Niagara Falls in USA, Kashmir in India which is called as the "Paradise on Earth", Valley of Geysers in Russia etc are all examples of enchanting beauty. For those who are interested in history and architecture, the Golconda Fort, Hawa Mahal, City palace in Jaipur, Pyramids of Egypt, Petronas towers, Burj Khalifa and Ajanta Ellora caves,Mahaballipuram etc are a treat to the eyes, which are admired even today for their everlasting beauty.
Animal lovers can have a visit to Bengal to see India's glorious Bengal Tigers, Corbett wildlife Sanctuary, Knaha National park, Kaziranga bird sanctuary, Masaimara in Kenya etc where they can see a wide variety of fauna, endangered species and birds like toucans, humming birds, birds of paradise etc. We can also see and admire the different types of forests like the Tropical deciduous forest, Sunderbans, Tropical evergreen forests etc which are a store house of a variety of flora and fauna .We often enjoy all these beautiful sights but fail to take care of these wonderful and priceless gifts. Have we ever thought that we have been able to see all these places because of the kindness and generosity of God, who is the creator of this wonderful planet Earth, in which we are living happily. Instead of protecting our earth we are destroying it in so many different ways. The main cause of destruction of the earth is GLOBAL WARMING which is caused due to CO2. CO2 is mainly released from vehicles, factories and other human activities. Another way in which the earth's beauty is getting lost is by the cutting down of trees (deforestation) in the name of industrialization and development. We cannot do a lot to stop all this but we can definitely do our bit to protect our earth. For eg: when we see someone cutting down a tree, we should try and plant a new tree to compensate for that loss as loss of a tree means loss of oxygen to human beings and animals and an imbalance in the earth. Plants act as purifiers, as they absorb all the carbon-di-oxide emitted by human activities. Some ways by which we can save the earth is by conserving paper as paper is made from trees, reducing fuel consumption by pooling of vehicles, use school bus instead of private cars, by not throwing wastes in the sea. Last but not the least the helium balloons which we kids play with are very harmful to the environment as these balloons escape into the atmosphere and go and burst elsewhere and fall into the sea and sea animals get attracted towards it and swallow it thinking that it is food and get choked to death. So next time before you set a balloon free into the air think of the sea creatures or the earth as a whole .I am doing my bit by disposing the waste carefully, by not wasting water and food and by switching of electric gadgets while they are not in use and by advising my peer groups to follow the same. But I am sure if we all unite for this wonderful cause we can achieve this goal faster.
Don't forget the 3 R's which can help us save our earth: REDUCE, RECYCLE AND REUSE .Always remember Earth is a wonderful place to be in! Only if we take care of it or else it will be destroyed.So do your bit, before it is too late. Save paper, electricity, water, petrol and use everything with reverence and care, don't misuse it. As it is our moral responsibility to save this planet for our future generations.
The earth has enough to satisfy our needs but not for our greed.
