Here I write up about my experiences after the great day which was 7th January 2012. You will be wondering that why was that day so great as there was no special celebration? But for me that day was as grand as a celebration because now what I am going to share with you is connected to that day as it helped me adopt a new skill: The Memory Skill as this skill made my study life so easy and so I was able to memorize big theories in a short time and all this was possible by just one law: Law of Association And Visualization.
Now I would like to share my experience of the 10-hour workshop which was held on 7th January 2012 and was organized by Indians in Kuwait. The workshop was all about how to improve your memory skills with the help of special memory techniques which are based on the law of associating the particular information with some ridiculous and funny thing which can be stored easily by the brain especially in case of numbers as they are abstract.

The great guru of the seminar named Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury was the speaker and he is the only man on earth to have world record in both the fields- mind and body and is also the author of 25 books on mind and memory. A day before the workshop, there was a 1 hour free seminar conducted by Mr. Biswaroop in which he spoke briefly about his achievements and records, how to make academic life easier, facts about the great machine- the brain and many more interesting things. His language was easy, understandable and very catchy. He also attracted the audience when he gave a demonstration in which he learned 40-50 abstract numbers just in a single reading! In the seminar it was also announced that those who were interested to study all these methods in detail were to be present in the Memory, Mind and Body Workshop which was held the next day. The workshop was divided into 4 main sessions. In the workshop, we had got a kit which contained the mnemonic pen, an interactive C.D of the movie ''4th Idiot'', a C.D which had all the memory techniques, the 4th idiot book, a book ''Heal Without a Pill'', health and happiness meter and some test papers and activity oriented sheets which were to be done after the completion of each session.

And in reality that one day had changed my life and I could easily apply the memory methods in my studies and home tasks too. Actually the main concept of memorizing anything depends on the way you imagine it and get involved in it. As I had told earlier that numbers are abstract and is difficult to remember for long time, may it phone no's or street no's, all this can be learned using the Mnemonic Pen which has around 120 codes and was invented by Dr. Biswaroop. I have applied this method in my day-to-day life and have seen the change as I am able to recollect my friend's numbers and can also recollect around 40 digits in just 2min! Really I felt myself great as this all would not be possible if my parents hadn't given me the support and encouragement to continue my practice even after the workshop was over. Practice means not just for time pass, but regular practice of at least 30minutes should be there in the routine. It is true that practice makes a man perfect. Firstly, when I had attended the seminar, I was shocked to see his great talent and thought that it was something extra-ordinary and would take a lot of time to achieve. But once when I started practicing all the memory techniques, I felt everything so simple. After the workshop, I felt a drastic change in my overall personality. For achieving this success, I would first thank my parents for supporting me and being my backbone and secondly I would like to thank Indians in Kuwait for inviting a well known guru and organizing such a wonderful program which has benefitted both children as well as adults. And our access to this event wouldn't be possible without IIK. Hats off to Dr. Biswaroop and the great news website IIK.

Now the question that arises in the minds of people who have not attended the workshop will feel it as difficult to learn without proper explanation and demonstration as seeing things on your own will be stored for long time than being said by someone else who has done it . So if you really have the interest in this field, then what you waiting for. Come one and all especially children, for once again there will be a free seminar conducted on 28th April. So don’t waste this opportunity and register yourself from IIK Website.

Recently, India book of records organized a memory championship for all the children who were capable of completing the 2 tests namely- Word Test and Number Test in a specific time limit. Those who were capable of doing these tests perfectly will be honored on stage by Dr. Biswaroop. I was a part of this competition and there were at least 10 participants and among them 6 children have done good and I am very happy to be among the six students. I am very excited to attend the second seminar and I also thank God for helping me pass my first opportunity. So hope that this time lots of people come to attend the seminar and learn a lot from it as this is something really useful and beneficial to all. My role Model changes every year and this year the one who inspired me to achieve all this was Dr. Biswaroop and he is my true role model as he has invented things so easy just to remove the burden especially in student's life. I am sharing all this with the readers as this will create more interest within them and if there is interest, there will be more concentration and then only there will be enjoyment in learning. Remember that Memory skill is a skill around which all basic skills circulate…..
