Friendship is a beautiful relationship in which you choose your friends and spend a lot of time with each other. A true friend is very rare and if you have one you are blessed. Friendship is defined as understanding, loving, caring, sharing and helping each other in the hour of need.

As it is truly said ‘A friend is need is a friend indeed'. There is no particular day to celebrate friendship as it is a lifelong relationship but in schools and colleges the 1st Sunday of August is celebrated as friendship day. The tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in US in 1935. Gradually the festival gained popularity and today Friendship Day is celebrated in large number of countries including India. On this day people spend time with their friends and express love for them. Exchange gifts like flowers, cards and wrist bands on this occasion.

Who is a true friend?

"Your true friend is the man who knows all about you and still likes you."

"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."

"A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself."

A true friend is one who doesn’t walk ahead of you or behind you rather walks with you all throughout your life, that is during your good times and bad times .If you have a friend like that then today is the day to celebrate with him. So dear friends wish you all a very HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY. Here is a picture of my friend and myself. My friend has always helped me in my lessons and in my other activities. We have been friends from the tender age of 2.Whenever I have a problem my friend always helps me. I have many good friends. One day by mistake our car got locked and the car keys were forgotten inside the car .This incident happened at Centre point in Al Rai and we called up my friend’s dad and he went to my house in Abu Halifa and got the spare keys for us at Al Rai. This is just a small incident but the good times what we have spent together cannot be expressed in words.
