India –The country of my dreams

India is the best and will become a leading nation of the world only if it works on some of its evils. It is predicted that in future other countries like Japan, china etc will have to depend on India for nuclear power. So isn’t it our moral responsibility to get this country to the top , which I feel can be achieved only by fighting and overcoming some problems like :

1. Corruption: Now in India the main disease which is spreading like an epidemic is not swine flu neither typhoid nor cholera but it is corruption .Almost all officials are corrupt and people like Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi etc are trying their best to fight corruption and get the lokpal bill passed but they cannot do it alone, we need to support them.

2. Women empowerment: Women are the future of India but we often don’t realize their potentials and don’t support them. They should be educated, allowed to take up challenging posts and should be given the same rights and respect as given to men. Female infanticide should be removed from our society. In our country women are worshipped as Laxmi, Durga and Saraswati in our mythological stories but does this happen in reality? So we must support the women as today there is no field where women have not achieved success. A little more support from the society can do miracles to our country.

3. Education: A boy child and a girl child should be given equal oppourtunities. As the right to education is a fundamental right in our constitution. Do we really practice this? The government provides free and compulsory education up to the age of 14years but many children are forced to do work at this tender age and hence resulting in child labour. Girls are not sent to school and are asked to do household work instead. So we need to change these things.

A small step taken today will become a giant leap for our country. Then I am sure India will emerge as the best.
