FAIPS – DPS, Kuwait organized a Hindi Workshop titled ‘New Trends in Hindi Instruction’ on 12th and 13th October 2012 in the school auditorium. 70 teachers from 11 schools in Kuwait participated in the workshop which was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sanyukta Ludhra from N.C.E.R.T (New Delhi).

The workshop on 12th October focused on Middle and Senior level classes during which CCE or Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation was discussed in great detail.
Learning is an on- going process which is not limited by age or circumstance to imbibe. Dr. Ludhra explained that a student cannot be evaluated based only on paper and pen exam but it needs to be a continual process. A student has to be tested in various aspects of merits and demerits leading to his overall development and moulding him into a good citizen. Syllabus and teaching of Hindi grammar were also discussed.

Dr. Luthra stressed that at the Primary level, day to day objects in the surrounding and their inter dependence play an important role in the development of a language. Therefore the focus of discussion was on the methodology of imparting speaking, reading and writing skills with greater interest at this level.

She further added that one must accept the changes occurring in the Hindi language and strive to give it a new direction. The participants thanked Dr. Ludhra for her guidance in development and safeguarding the language.
