IMWA Awards Conferral for Qur'an Competition 2012

On 11th January 2013, Indian Muslim Welfare Association conducted the Award Conferral at Jamiat Al-Islah Auditorium, Rawda, Kuwait. The prizes for the following events mentioned below were distributed - IMWA Quran Competition 2012 and the IMWA Edumeet 2012 – Spot Essay Writing Competition.

The program started by the mesmerizing recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the inaugural speech by the President of IMWA, Mr. Mohammed Manshauddin.

The Chief Guest for this event was Mr. Vidhu P Nair, from the Indian Embassy Kuwait. The chief guest in his impressive speech appreciated the wonderful work done by the IMWA group in motivating the children and inculcating moral values in them. He said they should conduct more and more activities like this in future. The Guest of Honour was Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Duaij, Deputy General Manager of Islam Presentation Committee (IPC), Kuwait .He gave an inspiring speech and said he was impressed to see the feeling of tolerance amongst Indians and admired the work done by IMWA. Mr. Duaij reiterated that the bilateral relationship between India and Kuwait has tremendously increased and the Kuwaitis have learned a lot from Indians in all fields.



A souvenir was released on this occasion by the dignitaries.



The students of Indian Public School presented a beautiful poem.



The prize winning speeches were presented in front of the audience and the prizes for the Spot Essay writing competition was distributed by Mr. Vidhu P Nair and the prizes of the Quran competition was distributed by the other dignitaries.



A beautiful skit was put up by the children titled ‘Mother knows all’.



The event was very well compered by the young children, who did a wonderful job.



This event has added another feather to the glory of IMWA, who are doing a wonderful, selfless job by developing the talents of the young children as well as motivating them to know about their religion and helping them to face the challenges in life and guiding them in everyway. Hats off to IMWA!
