With a beautiful star cast: Farhan Akhtar, Pawan Malhotra, Sonam Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Divya Dutta, Art Malik, Yograj Singh was this beautiful movie.
It is a rare movie which comes only ones in a lifetime, as legends are born only rarely. It was a great inspirational movie which showed that with dedication, hardwork, will power and proper guidance one can achieve the impossible.

The movie is based on real life of legendary Indian athlete, Milkha Singh. This film portrays Singh’s sporting career and his emotional journey. In fact, what is made clear through the film is that both of these are entwined. What stands out is Milkha Singh’s perseverance and determination to win and be the best he can, as well as the journey that he takes to grapple and eventually make peace with what is a painful and traumatic past.

The movie revolves around Milkha's childhood in then Punjab-now Pakistan, the trauma of Partition and being torn from his family, his lawless youth, his joining the Indian Army and gaining respectability and then learning the joys of running. For himself and for the honor of his nation.

The story also depicts the hardships of a soldier undergone during his training period and shows the importance of friendship and love. The movie shows how Milkha Singh ,an ordinary young boy turned himself into a great runner and landed up representing India in the Asian and Olympic games and became an honor for the country.

He initially ran in the race just to earn himself little milk and a few eggs. As it is truly said nothing succeeds like success this became a new beginning for his bright future.

The movie shows that once by mistake out his desire to wear the Indian blazer he tried out his co-athlete’s blazers and was badly punished for the same but that became a motivation and challenge for him and led to his achievement of earning the Indian blazer which is a matter of great pride.

When he was selected for representing his regiment in the National level, he was overwhelmed and did his job with great dedication and ran the race even though he was badly hurt and bleeding. This showed no hurdles can stop you from achieving success. Where there is a will there is a way.

The movie is must watch for all kids and teenagers as it says never give up and teaches us that each day is a new lesson and with hardwork, dedication , will power and obedience each one can achieve his goal. It teaches us to fight against all odds and emerge as winners. It also gives the message Attitude Makes Altitude.

I personally enjoyed the movie and liked the music given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

So go ahead and watch this inspirational movie and show your respect to this great legend, who is 77 years old now. Milkha Singh was born in 1935 and is known as The Flying Sikh.

This movie is so good that the government took the decision to make the movie tax-free so that each one can go and watch this beautiful movie.
