Character is a long standing habit. Character means moral or ethical strength. Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking .
Character is higher than intellect. A great soul will be strong to live, as well as strong to think. Character is the real foundation to all worthwhile success. Character is like a tree and reputation is like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it, the tree is the real.
The function of education is to teach one to think intensely and to think critically. Intelligence is the goal of true education. When wealth is lost nothing is lost, when health is lost something is lost but when character is lost everything is lost.
Strength of character means the ability to overcome resentment against others, to HIDE hurt feelings and to forgive quickly.
“A good heart, benevolent feelings and a balanced mind lie at the foundation of character.
The man of character should be humane charitable to those who have no character. He should not however be full of cheap sentiments. Sentiments never form character; they destroy the foundation of character.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation because your character is what you really are, whereas reputation is merely what others think you are.
Another way to interpret character is, it is not important how long you live but it is important how you live. Live with a positive attitude as it is truly said Attitude makes Altitude.
