‘The Traveling Lens’ photo exhibition by Shreekant Somany begins in Kuwait

Indian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Satish C Mehta and Secretary General of National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Ali Al-Yoha together inaugurated the photography exhibition "The Traveling Lens", by Renowned Indian art photographer Mr Shreekant Somany.

The exhibition, at Al-Edwani Hall, in Dahiyat Abdullah Al-Salem near Kuwait City, was attended by large number of dignitaries including Ambassadors of various countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, France, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, South Korea and Charde De' Affairs of Brazil. Many prominent Kuwaiti personalities including Mr Abdul Ilah Marafi, Hassan Haswai, Jaffer Behbehani, Thunayan Alghanim, Chairman of Indian Business Council Mr SK Wadhawav etc were present during the inaugural function.

The exhibition “The Traveling Lens” is a photographic journey through thirty images in five sections depicting, conceptualized art expression, nature and landscape, monuments, portraiture and photo oil painting. Some of the photographs are converted into art. Some of them are converted to oil paints using latest post processing technologies.

The photos exhibited express the mind of the photographer through his lenses. The photos in portrait section express the feeling as it is through the lenses of Mr Somany

Mr Shreekant Somany, an industrialist from Delhi, is the Executive Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Somany Ceramics Ltd, an India-based ceramic tile manufacturer.

The exhibition "The Traveling Lens" will be open to public from morning 9 to 12:30 and afternoon 5 to 9 pm till 21st November 2013 at Al-Edwani Hall, Dahiyat Abdullah Al-Salem.
