Natyanjali 2014- A Magnificient Show

Anjali School of Dance conducted Classical Dance Show, Natyanjali 2014. It was the Arangetram in Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattam of their 16 students. The show was very well choreographed by the dance teacher Mrs. Sindhu Madhuraj and was held at Cambridge English School Auditorium on January 10, 2014 from 5.00 PM to 9.00 PM. It was a spectacular show, which brought out the talents of the 16 students and the dedication of the teacher. The chief guests for the event were prominent personalities from the Indian community in Kuwait, Dr. Bhaskar Gupta (Yiaco Apollo Medical centre), Dr. Rajni Gupta (Obstetrician and Gynaecologist- Al Seef Hospital) and Mrs. Rathi Ravindran (Principal, Jack and Jill, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan).

The welcome speech was given by the dance teacher, Mrs Sindhu Madhuraj who welcomed the audience and the chief guests.

In the beginning of the program all the participants were called on stage along with their parents and were introduced by the host, Mrs Chinnu.

The spectacular show began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by these eminent personalities and the dance teacher to seek the blessings of lord almighty

The Chief guest Dr.Bhaskar congratulated the teacher for having been able to put up a wonderful show and thanked her for training the children and also appreciated the parents for motivating their children to learn about India and its traditional dance forms. He also requested Mrs Sindhu to open a branch in Salmiya. He was full of praises for the teacher and her students.

Mrs Rathi wished the children all the best and blessed them for their future endeavours.

The chief guests were presented with a memento as a token of appreciation by the dance teacher, Mrs Sindhu Madhuraj.

The Performers for the day were:
Bharathanatyam: Amrutha Chandran, Anika Anil kumar, Anuja Anil, Athira Prasad, Bhargav Chandran, Harshini Ramesh, Lilly Suresh, Madhavika Balakrishnan , Mayookha Balakrishnan, Nikha Elizabeth John, Riya Sanjeev and Sindhu Ajith Kumar .

Mohiniyattam: Jean Sara Saji, Sneha Das, Varsha Nigi and Vismaya Rachel D’silva.

The events were conducted in the following order:

This spectacular dance extravaganza came to an end with mementos being distributed to each participant who had entertained the audience and had left them spellbound. The kids were magical on stage and showed that they were all talented and dedicated and had given their best performance ever. The audience left the auditorium with lots of memory and were astonished by the marvellous performance of these budding stars. Each one outshined the other. The program was beyond comparison.

The wonderful evening came to an end with the vote of thanks which was given by the dance teacher.

I and the other well-wishers were mesmerized by this wonderful show and were full of praises for my friends who had shown their immense talents on stage. I too felt proud and happy for my friends. I wish them many more successes in their future endeavours.
