Women barred from entering the mall for wearing 'inappropriate' dress

A woman was not allowed into a local mall recently after she was told that her outfit was too inappropriate. According to news published by Kuwait times daily, mall security headed to the ground floor after noticing a gathering of young men around a girl who was trying to make her way to the escalator. The security men called their manager, who gave them orders to ban the woman from entering the mall because her outfit was ‘revealing more of her body than it was covering’. The decision was taken to prevent problems such as harassments or fights that could escalate in the mall, the source explained.
