Tuesday, August 19, 2014

The Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) is working on to create 39 new parks all over Kuwait and planning to build enclosed halls for jogging, reported Kuwait Times daily quoting Ghanim Al-Sanad, Head of the Execution and Maintenance Department of the Landscaping Sector of PAAAFR. Kuwait Currently has 145 public parks. PAAAFR also set up 38 football fields with synthetic grass and 48 playgrounds for children.

“We noticed that more people are jogging and walking. As Kuwait’s weather is very hot in summer and cold in winter, people mostly practice this hobby at shopping malls. So we are planning to build 18 enclosed halls, three in each governorate. These halls will be air-conditioned and heated, so people can walk there the whole year. Every hall will also have a children’s play yard and a multipurpose playground,” Kuwait Times daily reported quoting Ghanim.
