Melbandhan Cultural Group releases the sixth volume of Melbandhan. The book has already conquered the heart of hundreds of Bengalis all over the world. Bengali authors and poets from all over the world have contributed with their valuable write ups. Melbandhan, the book of Bengali literature started its journey way back on 9th September 2009, when it was first published in Kuwait. Principally the Bengali authors of India and Bangladesh residing in Kuwait contribute in this book.

The concept of the book lies on a venture to create a unique assembly and togetherness between the Bengalis of the two Bengals as well as of the two neighboring countries,- Bangladesh and India by means of progressive and thoughtful literary works. This venture also emphasizes the expression of the culture and heritage of the two countries. Contemporary ideas and views are expressed most gracefully through literature.

Dr Ashok Deb, the chief editor of Melbandhan, expresses his good wishes and gratitude to all the enthusiastic readers and contributors of the book. From the core of his heart he expresses deep gratitude to His excellencies;- the Ambassadors of India and Bangladesh for sending messages of inspiration and for providing persistent moral support for the six successive publications of the book. Melbandhan Cultural Group is hopeful to carry on its relentless effort to produce more and more volumes of book in the years to come with much more innovation and creativity.

On 21st August 2014, Thursday, Ambassador of Bangladesh,- His Excellency Major General Mohammad Ashab Uddin, ndc, psc and Mr Shubhashis Goldar, Deputy Chief in mission of Indian Embassy inaugurated the book in presence of Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, secretary to the Ambassador of Bangladesh and Mr Sushil Kumar, the 2nd secretary of Indian Embassy.
