Rise in number of mall fights

An average of seven fights per day is recorded across police stations in Kuwait this year, local daily reported. According to report, 1700 brawls have been recorded since the beginning of 2014 until the end of last August.

The Hawalli Governorate ranks first with 500 incidents committed in malls and markets, followed by the Farwaniya Governorate with 350 scrimmages, third on the list is the Capital Governorate with 300, fourth Jahra, 240 brawls, Ahmadi 180, and Mubarak Al-Kabir 130.

The report also says the events in shopping malls and markets are a result of petty quarrels. The source also said most of the juveniles caught were found in possession of weapons such as knives.
