Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced that, following its successful resumption of operations to Thiruvananthapuram last year, it will be recommencing flights to Hyderabad, the fourth most populous city in India, with 5 weekly flights, starting from 15 December 2014.

The airline’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. Maher Salman Al Musallam commented on the airline’s latest development: “We are further strengthening our Indian operations after the successful launch of flights to Thiruvananthapuram in December 2013. Now with the addition of Hyderabad, our sixth Indian destination, we are connecting south-central India to the Middle East – and we hope this route will appeal to travellers and be just as successful as our existing India operations.”

As one of the Middle East’s largest network carriers, Gulf Air’s 5 weekly Hyderabad operations will serve regional travellers with convenient connections within 3 hours through its efficient hub in Bahrain, providing excellent two way connectivity for travellers flying to and from the GCC, Africa and select Middle East destinations.

Gulf Air will expand its India network which currently includes Cochin, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and, most recently, Thiruvananthapuram with the addition of Hyderabad. The national carrier will be operating an A320 on the new route.
