ASSE-Kuwait Chapter organized Awareness program on First Aid & CPR exclusively for Women

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Kuwait Chapter as a part of continuous efforts in its professional journey, organized an awareness program on First Aid & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (commonly known as CPR) exclusively for the women, in association with Kuwait Medical Association Training Center. The program was conducted on 16th October 2014 at Hotel Safir, Fintas, Kuwait.
This Awareness Program was organized by the WISE (Women in Safety Engineering) committee of the ASSE Kuwait Chapter. Ms. Janet Najare, Head, WISE Committee delivered the introductory presentation on "WISE Commitee" and its activities.
Mr. Mohammad Riaz Shareef, President of ASSE Kuwait chapter, in his speech highlighted the importance of such awareness program and the objective of making our women community aware about the life saving techniques. Mr. Dinesh Dutta, Treasurer/ Acting Secretary of ASSE Kuwait chapter addressed the gathering with a brief narration on ASSE Kuwait Chapter and its activities.
He introduced the key speaker Mr. Talal Hassan Bani Ahmad, Certified Trainer for Kuwait Medical Association.
During the presentation, Mr. Talal Hassan Bani Ahmad, described and demonstrated about First Aid Basics, Environmental Emergency, Injury Emergency, Medical Emergency, etc. The case-study videos added value and enforced a better understanding on the topics among the participants.
The much-appreciated interactive session was followed by a formal Question & Answer Session. ASSE Executive Committee along with WISE Committee members handed over a token of appreciation to Mr. Talal.
Women HSE professionals of the ASSE Kuwait Chapter, spouses of ASSE Kuwait Chapter members and women from other community, participated in this awareness program.
The awareness session concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. G. Sampath Reddy, Vice-President of ASSE Kuwait Chapter. The program was followed by a dinner sponsored by ASSE Kuwait Chapter.
