Indian women arrested for begging

A 34-year old Indian woman was arrested for begging inside a cooperative society in Saad Al- Abdullah City, local Arabic daily reported.

Securitymen from South Jahra Police Station discovered that the woman was dressed in an ‘Abaya’ and they checked her details to discover she is an Indian expatriate. They referred her to the concerned authorities for her deportation from the country.

According to law, begging is illegal in Kuwait.
