Amma Kuwait announces “Utsrav-2014”

To create awareness and generate support for the noble humanitarian project “Empowering Women”, Amma Kuwait is organizing an evening of music titled 'Utsrav-2014' on Friday 7th of November. The event will be held at Marina Hall, Touristic Park, Jleeb Al Shyouk, organizers said in a press meet held here.

The 'Utsrav 2014' begins with a Gazal by Sri. Jitesh Sundaram and team. Sri Jitesh is the disciple of Ghazal Maestro Padmashri Anup Jalota, and has performed with many astounding singers such as Pankaj Udhas, Gulam Ali and Anuradha Poduwal in India and abroad. This will be followed by Indian Classical dance performance by Smt. Asha Sharath & Troup. Cine Artist Asha Sharath is an exponent in Mohiniattam, Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi, and is recipient of state and national awards for dance and acting. The 3-hour long grand cultural program by famous artists from India will give rich entertaining experience for all art lovers, organizers said.

'Empowering Women' is an initiative under visionary humanitarian and spiritual leader Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, known to millions simply as ‘Amma’. This initiative is to equip economically vulnerable women with the skills and means to set up cottage industries, more than 6,000 self groups for women across India and 1,000 groups in the nearby Andaman Islands have been established, organizers said. So far, 'Empowering Women' has helped 3,500 of these groups receive microcredit loans benefitting more than 60,000 families.

Amma Kuwait is an organization dedicated to humanitarian activities.
