KALA-Kuwait elected New Office Bearers

The 36th annual conference of Kerala Art Lovers Association KALA-Kuwait chose T.V Hikmath as President, Saji Thomas Mathew- Gen Secretary and Anil Kukkiri- Treasurer. The remaining details of the committee selected are Sajeev M George (Vice-President), Shaju V Hanif (Jnt. Secretary), C.K Noushad, Ramesh Kannapuram, Sugatha Kumar as area secretaries of Abbassiya, Salmiya and Fahaheel respectively, Michael Johnson (Secretary-Community Services), Jijo Dominic (Sports), Sunil Kumar (Arts), Vikas Keezhatur (Literature) and R. Nagandhan (Media Secretary). The conference elected T.V jayan, Roy Nelson, Rema Ajithkumar, Nasiriya Zachariah, Arun Kumar, Vijeesh U.P, Jiji George as central committee members.

The annual conference conducted at V.R Krishna Iyer Nagar (Khaitan Indian Community School) was attended by delegates chosen from three area general body meetings of KALA. General Secretary T.V Jayan presented the annual report while treasurer Reji K Jacob, the audited finance report followed by the approval of the reports by the conference.

The conference appealed through different resolutions to the respective governing bodies of India for the implementation of Comprehensive Migration Law, Detailed survey of Diaspora of Indian origin all over the world, to re-constitute Welfare Board, to make clarity on the implementation of voting rights, To have control on flight charges in par with lower fuel costs, to speed up the process of Passport Renewals etc.

Different sub-committees comprising of J. Saji, R. Naganadhan & Nimmy Rajesh (Presidium), Rahil K Mohandas, Jithin Prakash, Arun Kumar (Minutes), Regi K Jacob, M Narayanan, Vinod K John (Registration), Sam Pynummodu, Vikas, Dilin Narayanan, M.P Muzfar (Resolutions), Vijeesh (Volunteer) and Sajeev M George (Food) regulated the agenda of the conference.

N. Ajith Kumar, Albert J Pulluvila & Santha R Nair greeted the new office bearers and central committee members. Balagopal welcomed the delegates of the conference while newly elected Saji Thomas Mathew rendered vote of thanks.
