India's Shapoorji Pallonji company signs Kuwait University contract worth KD 150 million

India's Shapoorji Pallonji company signed a a contract with Kuwait University (KU) to implement the buildings of colleges of Law, Social Sciences and Sharia and Islamic Studies in the Sabah Al-Salem University City. Minister of Education Dr. Bader Al-Essa told reporters that the contract, which will be fulfilled within four years, constitutes a big step towards the completion of the city project, noting that the Sabah Al-Salem University City is part of Kuwait's development plan.

India's Shapoorji Pallonji company in collaboration with Kuwait's Saqer Trading & Contracting Company will implement the project, said Dr. Abdul-Latif Al-Bader, the Kuwait University president. Shapoorji Pallonji operates in Kuwait "Shapoorji Pallonji Kuwait" with a local JV partner Al Sager and established their existence here since January 2011.

The Shapoorji Pallonji Group is a Mumbai based business conglomerate in India with interests in construction, real estate, textiles, engineering goods, home appliances, shipping, publications, power, and biotechnology.
