OICC Palakkad Convetion held with Elegance and Pride

To mark the First Members’ Convention, OICC Kuwait Palakkad District Committee conducted grand function in the evening on 5th February 2015 at Mangaf. Various entertainment program and facilitating the guest were part of the function, a unique event in many aspects especially since it is the first of its kind happening in the history of OICC, Kuwait.
Overflowing Crowds from different parts of Kuwait with same spirit and enthusiasm made the event a great success. A resplendent and colorful procession welcoming the dignitaries to the Dias with pomp and pride in a glorious manner depicting the heritage of Kerala, accompanied by Customary Drum set (Chendamelam) arranged, was amazing and superb.
Prior to inaugural ceremony a magical dance move by the talented students of D K Dance which conquered the hearts of all including the VVIPs. The function began with the national anthem followed by the General Secretary Shri. Jiju Mathew welcomed all dignitaries on the dais and thanked them for gracing the occasion. President Shri. V Dili presided over the function. Palakkad DCC President Shri. CV Balachandran declared the festive event open with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp and thereafter he delivered a stem-winder of speech, which truly energized the public. Bombastic, sneering & inspiring speech of the Chief Guest of the Convention MLA Shri. Shafi Parambil was a catalyst for all OICC activists and spectators and held them spellbound. Echoes of this speech are still heard today making it a truly remarkable speech that deserves its ranking. Honorable Ernakulum MP K.V. Thomas addressed the Public. His words, with their spectacular imagery and inspirational message poured over the listeners like a cool, refreshing rain.
OICC Kuwait National President Shri. Varghese Puthukulangara, OICC Global Committee spokesperson Shri. Mansoor Palloor, OICC Kuwait National Committee Gen. Secretary Shri. Premson Kayamkulam, OICC Kuwait National Committee Secretary Shri. Anuroop, OICC Kuwait National Committee Media Wing Chairman Shri. Girish Ottapalam delivered Felicitation speeches.On Vote of thanks, OICC Kuwait Palakkad Dist. Committee Secretary Shri. Ismail K spoke of the variety of meeting conducted by the Executive Committee and thanked everybody for his or her sincere efforts in supporting the OICC Palakkad.
OICC Kuwait Palakkad Dist. Committee Vice Presidents Shri. Salim R, Shri. Narayanan Kutty, Secretary Shri. Dileep Mundoor, Program Committee Convenor Shri. Jayaprakash P, Womens’ Forum Representatives Smt. Ambili Dili and Smt. Pushpa Santosh did their roles effectively as Program Co-Ordinators. All attendees were served with a sumptuous dinner cooked by the members of OICC Palakkad.
OICC Palakkad District President Shri. V. Dili offered his sincere gratitude to all members of OICC and other invitees from all walks of life for their esteemed participation for making convention a victorious one.
