Kuwait St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Church Sunday School Conducted “JSVBS-2015”

St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Church Sunday School organized Jacobite Syrian Vacation Bible School “JSVBS-2015” from 20th March, 2015 to 27th March, 2015 at Royal Auditorium Mangaf.

The theme for this year was “Leaf Shall Not Wither” (Psalms 1:3)

JSVBS is a biblical outreach program under the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Sunday School Association (MJSSA) of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church. JSVBS provides opportunities for children to grow closer to Christ and His Church in a fun-filled learning environment during their vacation.

The 7 day learning program included Bible studies, Songs, Games, Arts & Coloring. Kids were also enriched with the passion for caring & sharing by participating in Day of Giving, programme to raise fund for the needy and Love Feast.

The Closing ceremony on March 27th was a colorful event which started with rally of crowned kids chanting slogans from VBS.

This was followed by a public meeting chaired by Vicar Rev.Fr. Eldo Chakyattil. Mr. Dennis John- Convener welcomed the gathered. H.G. Elias Mor Julius Metropolitan, Guest of honor delivered the keynote speech. Rev. Fr . Aby Paul -Vicar St. George Universal Syrian Orthodox Reesh Church Kuwait, Mr. Binu. T. Jacob- Church Secretary & Mr. P.P.George - Church Treasurer felicitated on the occasion. JSVBS-2015 Report was presented by Convener Mrs. Sherly Reji and vote of thanks by Sunday School Headmaster Mr. Sunny Ouseph. JSVBS-2015 concluded with a picnic to Ahmadi Gardens where prizes were distributed.
