The exciting interactive session with great legends Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and Prof. Sivadas organized by Science International Forum, Kuwait took place in the IBIS hotel, Salmiya on 27 March 2015.

This session was organized for the fourteen Sastra Pratibhas .

Padmabhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar is a renowned IT expert and the Chairman of the Governing council, IIT Delhi. He is the inventor of the supercomputer PARAM. An educator, author and orator Prof. Sivadas is a National Award holder by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Government of India. They are the embodiment of modesty and stand a testimony to the fact that leaders become great not because of their power but because of their ability to empower others.

The discussions commenced with a few questions that threw light on the inspiration and driving force of Dr. Vijay Bhatkar. Dr. Bhatkar described his urge to serve the country and the dire need for technological advancement as his source of motivation.

When asked for suggestions on how to nurture one's talent in Physics or develop one's interest in Chemistry, Prof. Sivadas advised us to acquire the basic knowledge of all the core branches before narrowing our streams to one of them. He also highlighted the interdependence of science and mathematics and thereby the need for them to go hand in hand.

Further, Dr. Bhatkar emphasized that every field has good scope in the future and what really matters is one's interest in the subject. We should do our research and widen our knowledge in the field of interest. Prof. Sivadas conveyed the message that "Once you start loving your subject then and only then will you establish a relation with the subject" through humorous narrations making the session further more jovial.

Finally, we also touched upon the importance of good communication and the ability to work in a team for attaining success in any field. We are yet to realize that learning is a pleasurable activity and that it should never be taken as a burden or compulsion.

I would like to thank SIF, Kuwait on behalf of all the Sastra Prathibhas for providing us with the priceless opportunity of meeting such renowned personalities.
