Spectacular Grand-Iftar by Indian Muslim Association

Indian Muslim Association (IMA-Kuwait) in cooperation with Grand Mosque, Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs and IPC organized a Grand-Iftar ceremony at the Tent Malaki - Masjid Al-Kabeer (Grand Mosque).The event was well managed by Youth Wing of IMA.

Ejaz Ahmad Aslam, Chief Editor of Radiance view weekly run by Jamaate Islami Hind and Peace TV speaker spoke on the subject ‘Personality Development through Ramadan’. He talked about the expectations from this blessed month of Ramadan. He said as the Holy Book ‘Qur’an’ is central to this month & therefore the implementation of the Qur’anic teachings is vital in every walks of human endeavor and Character Building.

He further quoted from the Holy Qur’an, "Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was sent down, as a guide to mankind, also clear Signs for guidance and judgment between right and wrong…” He added that Ramadan is a special month and it is a time for inner reflection, devotion to God and indeed is as a kind of tune-up for their spiritual lives. He emphatically added that the purpose of fasting is to create God consciousness.

The occasion was further augmented by the presence of HE Sunil Jain, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait. He appreciates the works undertaken by IMA. He points out that Indians here are well respected for their knowledge, talent and peace loving nature and talked about the Indian character of unity in diversity.

Honorable Guests Sulaiman Al Shatti and Mohammad Ali talked about the blessings of Ramadan. The function started with the recitation of Holy Qur’an. IMA Vice-President Hasan Noor presided the function. Khalid Azmi convened the program. Large number of people attended the program.
