ASSE Kuwait Chapter conducted Heart saver First aid Training in collaboration with Gulf CPR

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter in collaboration with Gulf CPR Training Institute (Affiliated to Kuwait Medical Association Training Center); organized a training program “Heartsaver® First Aid with Hands Only CPR (American Heart Association [AHA] standard)”. The program was conducted on 20th August 2015; exclusively for ASSE members; at Kuwait Medical Association Training Center, Jabriya, State of Kuwait.

Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation commonly known as (CPR) is an emergency procedure performed in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function, until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest. It is performed on those who are unresponsive with no breathing or abnormal breathing.

The Head of Chapter’s Training Committee, Mr. Babu VSVRA, inaugurated the program and introduced Dr. Adel Ata, the trainer for the session. Dr. Adel Ata, a professional paramedic trainer, has a Bachelor’s in Medicine (Liverpool), Paramedic Certification, Qualifying Instructor of First Aid Certification and a Diploma in Medical Emergency.

Hands-on training on “How to Administer CPR”; turned out to be very helpful for the safety professionals in their career, especially during emergency in their workplaces. The participants, who emerged successful in the assessment; received the AHA certificate & pocket cards. Seventeen ASSE Members utilized this distinct opportunity and benefited from the program.
