Palm Sunday Celebrated by Ahmadi Tamil Congregation

The Palm Sunday celebration of Ahmadi Tamil Congregation, Kuwait was attended by a lot of believers and celebrated @ St. Paul’s Church, Ahmadi. Palm Sunday is celebrated as the starting day to the Holy Week. PalmSunday with religious devotion marks the beginning of Holy Week ending with Easter . Palm Sunday is celebrated around the world with a lot of devotion & faith and churches distributing palm leaves freshly cut from coconut trees to commemorate Jesus Christ's entry into Jerusalem, when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest and crucifixion on Good Friday.

As part of Palm Sunday celebrations, believers conducted procession holding tender coconut leaves. This day is commemorated in remembrance of the day “Jesus Christ's victorious entry into the city of Jerusalem”. In remembrance of this incident, hymns of hosanna 'Hosanna to the son of David..." sung throughout the procession. Hoy week began with palm Sunday and the Christians will observe the next seven days with lots of religious fervor and will celebrate Easter.

Ahamdi Tamil Congregation President Bro. Ravichandran conducted Praise & Worship and Special Speaker Rev. Rowlandskay from Tanjore, Tamilnadu delivered Word of God.
