Institution of Engineers (India) Kuwait Chapter Elected New Committee

The Institution of Engineers (India), Kuwait Chapter held annual election to elect new executive committee for the year 2016-17.
Engr. S. Krishnan, IEI, Kuwait Chapter Chairman (2015-16) welcome the members. He thanked them for their cooperation and support to IEI, Kuwait chapter activities during the year 2015-16. He informed that annual elections which were supposed to be held on 25th April during the AGM was postponed and it was declared to be conducted on 28th May 2016. Engr. Krishnan, Chairman proposed Engr. Joseph Panicker, Engr. K.Sadasivam and Engr. Ilangovan as Election Commissioners to conduct the election which the general body approved unanimously.
Engr. Joseph Panicker declared proceedings for the election of new executive committee for the year 2016-17 as per IEI Kuwait Chapter Byelaws. He announced the names of nomination forms received for the position of Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer and Nine Executive members. Upon scrutiny of nomination forms, the election commissioners declared the results and announced that all the EC Committee Members are unanimously elected, which are as follows; Dr. Abdul Razzak Rumane as Chairman, Engr. Rishabh Nath Jain as General Secretary, Engr Sam Ananth Kumar as Treasurer, and Engr. Abdul Razaak Patel, Engr. Anu Kurian, Engr. Ashok Kumar, Engr. A V D K Ravishankar, Engr. Karthikeyan M, Engr. Mohandas Kamath, Engr. Ramana Bodepalli, Engr. Sudhir Menghani and Engr. Thomas John as Executive Committee members. Engr S. Krishnan and Dr. M. Mahendran as Ex-Officio Chairman and Ex-Officio General Secretary respectively. Engr. Ilangovan was appointed as Auditor for the year 2016-17.
Engr. S. Krishnan declared dissolution of Executive Committee for the year 2015-16.
Dr. Rumane, the Chairman elect thanked all the members for their trust in the newly elected Executive Committee. He requested IEI, Kuwait chapter members to actively participate in the chapter’s activities. Engr. Rishabh Jain, General Secretary elect proposed vote of thanks all the members for their participation and requested them to actively participate in the chapter’s activities. Dinner was served at the end of the program.
