Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait organised “Iftar Meet” on Friday, 10th June 2016
Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait organised “Iftar Meet” on Friday, 10th June 2016 at Pakistan English Academy School, Farwaniya. Prominent personalities from different walks of life and a large crowd of association members attended the Iftar Meet and made the function a memorable one.
Association patron Mr.Hameed Keloth inaugurated the “Iftar Meet”. President Mr. Rajagopalan. E. presided over the function. General Secretary Mr. Ramakrishnan. M, Association patrons Mr. Aboobacker K. and Mr. Santhakumar M. felicitated the function. Iftar committee Convener Mr. Jawed Bin Hameed rendered the welcome speech and Association Treasurer Mr. Haneef C., expressed the vote of thanks.
Mr. Muhammad Aripra, the distinguished Islamic intellectual narrated the significance of Ramadan and the importance of fasting. He pointed out that the Ramadan fasting is not only an act of worship, but it also serves to cleanse the body, sharpen the mind and purify the soul.
Mr. Sharafuddin Kanneth, Mr. Sam Painumood, Mr. Babuji Batheri, Mr. Chesil Ramapuram, Mr. Riyas Ayanam, Mr. Dilip Naderi, Mr. Junoob.P.P, Mr. Iqbal Kuttamangalam, Mr. Afsal Khan, Mr. Sathar Kunnil, Mr. Abdul Fattah Thayyil, Mr. Hikmath, Mr. Mukesh V.P, Mr. Reghunathan Nair, Mr. Samkutty Thomas, Mr. Hamsa Payyannoor, Mr. Mohan Ayyappan, Mr. Prasad Padmanabhan and Mr. Regi Bhaskar were amongst persons who blessed the “Iftar Meet” with their gracious presence.
The programme was co-ordinated and controlled by the Iftar committee, central and area committee office bearers and executive committee members.The Mahilavedi and Balavedi members also provided good support for the success of Iftar meet.
