ASSE Kuwait Chapter conducted Awareness Session on “Project HSE Review - PHSER”

8th July 2016:- American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter has organized One day training program on “Project HSE Review – PHSER”. This is altogether a new program and arranged for the first time in Kuwait . ASSE KC members have responded well to this program which was held on 7th July 2016 at Kohinoor Banquets Hall, Fahaheel, State of Kuwait.

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter is Kuwait’s premier voluntary & non-profit making organization providing professional guidance, training and consultancy; in the field of Health, Safety and Environment; to the industrial and social sectors in the region. ASSE Kuwait Chapter regularly organize Certified trainings, Seminars and Workshops on various HSE related topics, adhering to its strong social commitment by enhancing the knowledge of HSE professionals locally and, in turn, benefiting the local industries in efficient management of their HSE business.

The overall objective of the Project HSE Review (PHSER) process is to assure the Company as well as its stakeholders that the HSE-sensitive areas in the project have been identified in a systematic way and the Major projects, engineering and operational systems in the project lifecycle have been developed to control / manage the identified risks.

The Head of Chapter’s Training Committee, Mr. Sony Thomas, inaugurated the program and introduced Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal, the trainer for the session. Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, USA and holds B.E.in Fire Engineering from Nagpur University India. He has been associated with ASSE Kuwait Chapter for long in various capacities and currently he is serving the chapter as the Secretary. Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal, is working in Kuwait Oil Company as Safety Specialist and carries more than 25 years of valuable experience in downstream and midstream Oil & Gas industry.

The training program met the aspirations of local HSE professionals. The session turned out to be very helpful for the safety professionals in their career, in finding out the shortfalls and non-compliance out of the agreed & established Project’s HSE plan and thus to device actions to ensure improvement. Thirteen ASSE Members utilized this distinctive opportunity and benefited from the program.
