Saradhi Kuwait –Leader’s Meet - 2016

With a view to imparting better leadership skills to its office bears and members of managing committees of various organizational levels, Saradhi Kuwait organized a day-long Leader’s Meet on 14th July 2016 at Saradhi Indraprantha Auditorium, Mangaf- Kuwait.



The function was attended by Central Office bearers, Members of the Central Executive Committee, Office Bears and members of the Managing Committee of various Units of Saradhi, Saradhi Vanthavedi Central and Unit Office Bearers, Patron and Advisory Board Members of Saradhi and former leaders who held helm of affairs of Saradhi.





Leaders Meet was inaugurated at 10:00 AM by lighting of lamp by dignitaries of Saradhi and the inaugural function was presided over by Sri. Suresh K, President of Saradhi Kuwait. At the outset, participants paid tributes to Dr. Narayanan Namboothiri, an outstanding physician, community leader and social worker among the Indian community in Kuwait who passed away on Thursday July13, 2016, and have offered silent prayer for the departed soul to rest in peace.





Sri. Jayan Sadasivan, Joint Treasurer of Saradhi Kuwait welcomed participants. Patron Sri. Suresh Kochath and General Secretary Sri. Sajeev Narayanan delivered felicitations speeches. A video presentation titled as “Glorious Past of Saradhi” depicting major events and stages of development of Saradhi since its inception. The video gave the participants a true insight into the dedicated efforts of the former leaders who immensely contributed to the growth of Saradhi to its current glory.





Sri. V S K Shenoy, Certified Trainer and Regional Director of Toast Masters Club, delivered an enlightening lecture on Leadership illustrating important elements of effective and successful leadership. Another important event of the function was an introductory session on the salient features of Saradhi Bye Law by Adv. Rajesh Sagar and thereafter, an explanatory session by Adv. Sasidhara Panicker on various provisions of Saradhi Bye-Law, specifically the duties and obligations of office bearers and members of various committees of Saradhi. Sri. Reji C J, Acting Chairman of the Educational & Charitable Trust of Saradhi Kuwait presented a brief description on the preparations and development of the new training project undertaken by the Trust at Cherthala, Alleppey Dist., and Vanithavedi Chair-person Smt. Roshni Biju in her presentation, illustrated various social, cultural and organizational activities being pursued by Saradhi Vanithavedi and those to be undertaken during the year ahead.



Two separate practical and training sessions, one on Accounting and Fund Management for the Unit Treasurers was conducted by Advisory Board Member Sri Sugunan KV and another on administration and organizational management for the Unit Conveners and Secretaries was conducted by Sri. Suresh Vellappally and Sri. Vineesh Viswambharan.



Vote of thanks was presented by the Program Coordinator Sri. Manu K Mohan and the Leaders Meet concluded at 5:00 PM with chanting of “Poornamada”.
