Youth India Ration Project Starts

Kalpetta Municipal Chairperson Srimathi Bindu Jose inaugurated the Wayanad Ration Project implemented by Youth India Kuwait and Solidarity Youth Movement, Kerala in Wayanad district of Kerala. Solidarity State President T Shakir presided over the function which was held in Kalpetta Townhall. The condition of the people who have been confined to loneliness, widows and those who are afflicted by incurable diseases and who do not have any means to treat or even to have a proper meal a day, whom we visited as part of the project are beyond words to describe and collective effort is needed to expand the project, said T Shakir in his presidential address. Youth India Kuwait Chief Patron Faisal Manjeri also addressed the audience. In a time when youth are disappearing from society in the name of religion, in search of inner peace, and wandering in the desert, Youth India Kuwait and Solidarity Youth Movement are actively involving with the society finding out the problems faced by the members of the society and actively working to provide relief. By providing a helping hand to the unfortunate members of the society, widows and those who have been afflicted by incurable diseases and let alone by their family, they have become the actual flag bearers of all the religious values. The project to identify people afflicted by incurable diseases and in the midst of poverty, and provide them with a monthly ration of daily necessities by Youth India Kuwait and Solidarity Youth Movement is one of the exemplary activities of the youth and this project needs to be expanded throughout the state and it needs to become a role model for the country itself, said Kalpetta Municpal Councillor KT Babu.

As part of the first phase, around 100 families of Wayanad district identified by the project will receive the ration which includes the daily necessities every month during the year.

Wayanad Pain and Palliative President Gafoor Thaneri, Jama’at-e-Islami Wayanad District President Malik Shahbas also attended the function. Solidarity Wayanad District President Rafeeq Vellamunda welcomed the audience and Secretary Shameer Nishad proposed the vote of thanks.
