World leaders have to voice against genocide – KKIC 4th Islamic Seminar

Monday, January 2, 2017

The 4th Islamic Seminar organized by Kuwait Kerala Islahi Center (KKIC) emphasized on the moral responsibility of world leaders to voice against the inhuman genocide underway in Syria and Myanmar. The seminar, titled ‘Islam, the faith of fearlessness,’ was inaugurated at Dasma Teacher’s Club, Friday, 30th December, 2016.

It was declared at the inauguration ceremony that turning a blind eye to the cruel killings is a travesty of human conscience. The seminar will take place from February 23 to 26, at the Seminar Ground near Farwaniya Garden.

KKIC President, PN Abdul Lateef Madani, hosted the ceremony on Friday. The Chairman of Kuwait Jamiyat Iyah Turas Al Islami, Sheikh Tariq Sami Sultan Al Esa, inaugurated the seminar. The key note speech was rendered by the General Convener of Mujahid Global Mission TK Ashraf. He condemned the increasing fraudulence in the realm of spirituality “in spite of the higher levels of education in our country.”

Further it was noted that the issue of common civil code is being revisited by communal currents aiming to polarize the people, and requested secular powers to unite to defeat their malevolent plans. Muslims were exhorted to rise above their differences and unite on issues that were of common interest to them.

“The way to resolve differences and unite is to return to the authentic sources of scriptures, repent over past mistakes and declare the truth to the people by adhering to the canons. It’s foolhardy to think that the threats to pluralism can be overcome through the blending of faiths; rather Indian secularism is founded on the principle of religious neutrality.”

To confuse believers by mixing faith with superstition is not the path to reformation, the speaker added. Sheikh Tariq Sami Al Esa launched the seminar souvenir while the seminar logo was revealed by TK Ashraf. The seminar coupon was inaugurated by the KKIC President PN Abdul Lateef Madani by presenting it to Apsara Mahmood. Dawa Kit was presented by Mohammed Aslam to EK Abubu Razak. AMAbdusamad, NK Abdu Salam, KC Abdul Lateef and Aslam Kapad were present on the presidium.

Zakir KA rendered welcome address, while Sunash Shukoor gave the vote of thanks.
